The Blankets of Babas are LIVING THINGS: Swami Ram

Shri Shri 1008 Neem Karoli baba - 

Swami Ram witnessed the power of Shri Neem Karoli baba when he stayed with him at Kainchi Ashram.  Baba without any scriptures or any mantra gifted Swami Ram with wisdom, love and truth. While staying with him at Kainchi - he also learnt about another Sage with Blanket - One was Neem Karoli Baba always wearing a blanket and another was Gudari Maharaja - always seen in a blanket - Swami Ram came to know that the 80 year old Gudari Maharaj was very unusual sage - he is found at Kakrighat & he also travels to valley of flowers near Badrinath.

Swami Ram to told Shri Neem Karoli Baba that he has a desire to see Valley Of Flowers and also meet this Saint with Blanket. Maharajji smiled. Gudari Maharaj was friends with Neem Karoli baba and both used to talk about rare places in the Himalayas. Gudari Maharaj lived in caves in Joshimath - and also in a cave like Kutia in Kakrighat. He was a constant traveller of the Himalayas especially the Valley of Flowers. He was very unusual and always carried a unique blanket. IT WAS VERY HEAVY. Any cloth he found in the Himalayas was patched to the blanket. There were thousand patched to that blanket so it was called GUDARI.

Gudari Maharaj played a trick with Swami Ram- he said if you really want to see Valley of Flowers you have to carry my blanket. Swami Ram a young Yogi agreed immediately. But as he put that blanket on his shoulders he fell on ground. He laughed and said You are a weak youngster and lifted his blanket himself and said look its so light. So they started for Valley of Flowers - but the sage cautioned Swami Ram that in the blooming season people LOOSE THEIR MEMORY here. And all young kids who argue should be brought here to teach them a lesson.

While on the way to the Valley of flowers - Gudari Maharaj said to swami Ram that you are proud of your education - I can see that but you know we are the master of the mind. Even Neem Karoli baba is the master of the mind - we can control it but you are egoist. But Swami Ram said "I HAVE CONROL OVER MY MIND".  He laughed and said WE SHALL SEE.

He told Swami Ram that you know Swami OUR BLANKETS are LIVING THINGS. The universe is here in the blanket and people don't respect them - Swami Ram thought his is a crazy man. While on the way to the Valley of Flowers - a Japanese monk also joined them because he knew that if he goes all alone to the Valley he might loose all his sense and become mad.

The next day the Japanese Monk was shivering with 104 degree of fever - and was about to collapse when Gudari Maharaj said you both think I m Mad - respect my blanket or you will die.... show some humbleness... there was no way out so the monk touched the feet of the saint. Gudari Maharaj put his blanket on the Japanese Monk and took his fever away. But the BLANKET was shivering - Swami Ram could believe his eyes but it happened. Gudari Maharaj said respect the BLANKET always. And for coming fifteen day the Japanese monk was full of energy.

After three days of walking we finally reached HEAVEN - Valley of Flowers.... but some hours we were liked mesmerised of the view but after four hours Gudari Maharaj asked "WHO ARE YOU". Swami Ram could not answer neither the Japanese Monk - they lost their identities and cried like babies - and fell on his feet pls return our senses to us. Gudari Maharaj was benevolent and again put his BLANKET on them - after sometime Swami Ram asked for forgiveness from the saint.

Gudari Maharaj said that books can only give you opinion of others REAL KNOWLEDGE is experience. What you learnt here is knowledge and not opinion. He told Swami Ram that we are different sages - we don't preach - WE TEACH.
