Uttrakhand: the new tech heaven

The hill state of Uttrakhand is always a charm to visit. Mussourie, Nainital, Ranikhet, Mukteshwar are some of its breath taking places. The whole Uttrakhand economy somehow revolves around more or less on tourism. On an estimate the state government earns nearly 40 thousand crores annually from the BIG and ecological friendly business. Also, Dehradoon was known for its elite schooling through Doon school, Woodstock, Sherwood and Whelham institutions.

But, something is changing and changing very fast. Two bright engineers are turning Uttrakhand into a new software developing hub. Seems a bit difficult to digest but it’s true. Engineers like Prawal Pratap Singh and entrepreneur Prateek Agarwal have created a Road for many to follow and create a big IT industry in Uttrakhand.

Prateek and Prawal are working under a banner called Makers Duniya. This institution is working on young minds – as young as 7 years and making them realise their true potential at a very young age. They are teaching school kids – the new wolf language of CODING, the art of aero dynamics, drones, software application development, gaming development and much more.

Makers Duniya has Uptil now covered 35 schools and 5000 plus children. This is an incredible achievement by them as children are now getting attracted to them in a major way. And why not ? Who doesn’t want to INVENT and get awarded and known in the world of science and than their products are used by common people. This is what Uttrakhand is slowly going through – it is creating young scientists who will soon INVENT and make India proud.
Nearly everyday webinars are happening. They are trying to give free lectures to thousand of students who are interested in scientific innovations. after that ONLINE certificate classes are also being conducted. Slowly and steadily “MAKERS DUNIYA” is making a difference.

Today, Uttrakhand is having a problem that the hill youth is moving to various other cities for work and as a result many villages have become deserted. But if initiatives like these can take on a much larger scale than one day people would come to Uttrakhand to seek jobs.
